Job Description

As an Inside Sales Representative for SolidCAD’s Richmond Hill headquarters, the candidate will be responsible to fulfill Transactional CAD Software sales, Subscription Contract Renewals and Lead Generation activities from a mixture of new and existing clientele.  This opportunity for employment will be awarded to an energetic team player with a professional attitude and superior communication skills. 

Characteristics / Experience

• Have 3 years experience with customer care, general sales related to software, or technology, and a proven ability to reach or exceed targets.
• Able to identify new business opportunities, develop new contacts and apply new information quickly.
• Must demonstrate superior verbal and written communication skills and be comfortable handling objections, asking questions and solving customer service issues.
• Be proficient in use of CRM software and MS office applications related to sales proposals and order entry.
• Able to develop strong internal relationships and work closely with all teams to reach organizational goals.
• Knowledge of the CAD industry as it relates to the AEC and Manufacturing industries is highly beneficial.

Duties

• Respond to customer inquiries, fulfill transactional customer sales and develop leads for the extended sales team.
• Maintain regular customer contact providing value to existing clients and responding to their needs, while providing information related to software licensing, subscription sales and professional services.
• Solicit into companies where SolidCAD is not actively involved to promote SolidCAD’s products and services and develop new relationships and business opportunities for the extended sales team.
• Provide customers and prospects with product information, pricing and company information in a professional, timely manner.
• Work as a team, together with sales & technical staff to help identify, develop and close business opportunities, as motivated by targets and quotas.
• Update and maintain information in CRM system, keep accurate forecasts and history of communications, as well as target marketing lists, contacts and all customer information.
• Complete sales and customer care projects as assigned by the Sales Manager.

SolidCAD, a provider of software solutions to the manufacturing industry, has an immediate need for a technical team member. As an Application Specialist, you will provide our clients with software demonstrations, training, software installation / configuration and technical support. In this role you will work with our sales team in both a pre-sales and post-sales capacity to ensure a successful software implementation and client satisfaction.

Note: This is not a designer/detailer role - our purpose is to help customers create and maintain their own designs by providing training, technical support and software consulting services.

This position requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills and is ideally suited to someone with a passion for technology and interest in using the latest software related to both mechanical and electrical controls design. Candidates should have experience with the following software applications; Autodesk Inventor (or SolidWorks, Pro/Engineer, etc.), AutoCAD Electrical (or e-Plan, Promis-e, Via WD, etc.) and AutoCAD. In addition, applicants that have an understanding of network infrastructure through Windows Server & Active Directory, file management, networking protocols and virtualization are preferred.

To be considered for this position, the candidate must be familiar with the manufacturing industry; either through formal training and/or prior work experience within either an engineering department or the shop floor.

As the majority of our clientele is located within the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), you will be based out of one of our local offices. Periodically, travel outside the GTA will be required. Applicants must possess both a valid Ontario driver’s license and vehicle.

This is a full-time, salary position and all employees are eligible to participate in our benefits program upon completion of their probationary period.
